Lessons learned from living in 4m squared
Paul and I have been learning how to live our lives in an entirely different way...back to the basics. Upon arriving in Arras almost 2 months ago we came upon the realization that a "furnished" apartment was not exactly up to par with Canadian standards. We had to purchase a few necessities such as an air mattress, a couple dishes and some utensils. However, since we already have a beautiful apartment back home with enough kitchen supplies to last us a lifetime (thanks to our recent wedding) we definitely didn't want to spend much. So, we opted to purchase only what we absolutely needed, which in our case turned out to include: 2 forks, 1 knife, 1 spoon and 1 bowl.
As rediculous as it may sound, this has definitely brought some humour into our lives. Since we only have a hot plate to cook on and the weather has been really cold, we enjoy eating a lot of delicious soups. However, as you may have guessed this menu choice poses a small problem...

Katrina this is incredible! Justin and I always have a bad habit of using wayyy to many dishes in one day and leaving them all stacked up! This almost makes me want to see if we could pull off such a thing!
